Taste of Summer at Glen of the Downs

There's no better time in Ireland than now to fire up the BBQ and enjoy the great outdoors! BBQ season is upon us and OutdoorLiving.ie, Ireland's largest outdoor lifestyle showroom, has teamed up with Great Irish Beverages to bring you the ultimate alfresco dining experience. Led by the charismatic Oisín Davis, we asked Oisín to showcase some of the unique features in our Buschbeck BBQ range at our Glen of the Downs showroom. The sun was out, and along with his right-hand man Harry Weir from Studio 32, the BBQ's were fired up from early morning for what would be a great day ahead.

Oisín Davis, the mastermind behind Great Irish Beverages, is no stranger to showcasing the best of Ireland's food and drink scene. With his infectious enthusiasm and expertise, Oisín has been instrumental in highlighting and marketing the country's best drinks right across the world, from cocktail training Jameson bartenders in Japan to promoting the very best of Irish produce as a food and drinks columnist for The Irish Times and Business Post. 

Having recently won an exclusive license for the premium German manufactured BBQ brand Buschbeck, OutdoorLiving.ie wanted to shout this from the rooftops. Put Oisín Davis and Harry Weir into our stunning Tarasola Garden Room overlooking the Sugarloaf Mountain and kit it out with some premium sustainable wooden outdoor furniture, top class ingredients from Ridgeway Wagyu, Coolattin Cheddar, Fercullen Whiskey and Wicklow Wolf ... then ‘Bob’s Your Uncle!’ A couple of hours later, after a lot of laughs, some smoking flames from the BBQ’s and some tasty bites to share, the job is complete.

The striking Buschbeck BBQ units handcrafted in Germany, combine both style and functionality in equal measure. With Oisin's guidance, we’ve demonstrated some top-notch recipes on two of the most impressive and popular models: the Buschbeck Rondo Masonry White with Copper Inlay and the Buschbeck Kamado XL 21 BBQ Grill. The complete range is on full display in our dedicated BBQ centre with plenty of advice on hand to guide customers through their long list of versatile features and diverse cooking options.
